Rained In With The Tour Guide Sara Jay
Traveling has always been a passion for me. There's something about exploring new places, trying new cuisines, and meeting new people that always excites me. So, when I decided to visit New York City, I knew I wanted to make the most out of my trip. That's why I booked a tour guide – Sara Jay.
Who is Sara Jay?
Sara Jay is a tour guide based in NYC. She's been in the tourism industry for over a decade, and her knowledge of the city is impressive. When I first met her, I knew I was in good hands. She was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable.
The Tour
Our tour started at 9 am. Sara picked me up from my hotel, and we started our journey. Our first stop was the Empire State Building. Sara had arranged for us to skip the lines and get straight to the top. The view from the top was breathtaking. We spent an hour there, taking pictures and enjoying the view.
Next, we went to Central Park. We walked around the park, and Sara told me interesting facts about the different landmarks. We then had lunch at one of the restaurants in the park. The food was delicious!
After lunch, we visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sara had arranged for us to have a private tour guide at the museum. It was amazing to see all the art and artifacts up close. We spent a couple of hours there, and then headed back to my hotel.
The Unexpected Turn
As soon as we left the museum, it started raining heavily. We tried to hail a cab, but none were stopping. We were getting drenched, and I was worried about getting sick. Sara suggested we take shelter in a café nearby. It was a small, cozy café, but it was warm and dry.
We ordered some coffee and sat down. Sara and I started talking and getting to know each other better. I found out that she had traveled to over 20 countries, and she had some amazing stories to share. We talked for hours, and before we knew it, it was dark outside.
The Conclusion
The rain had stopped, and it was time for me to head back to my hotel. Sara walked me to the nearest subway station and gave me some tips for the rest of my trip. We exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch.
Looking back, I realized that getting rained in with Sara was one of the best parts of my trip. We went from being strangers to friends in a matter of hours. It just goes to show that sometimes the unexpected can turn out to be the best part of the journey.
